Summary Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced
MEP Superintendent II
to review, provide analysis, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success.
Responsibilities
Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
Review and understand contract documents
Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three‑ and six‑week look‑ahead schedules
Develop a site logistics plan
Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
Collaborate with project partner superintendents
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering, or 10 years of trade experience
Minimum 10 years of construction experience with at least two years of supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
Minimum 15 years of construction experience
Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level
Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback

Current driver’s license

Compensation The base pay range for this role is $130,100‑$195,200 (actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
