Position Overview We are seeking a full-time, on-site Equipment Repair Technician based in Buffalo, NY. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a range of recycling, waste reduction, and dock equipment. The technician will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, complete routine maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Providing timely, high-quality service and maintaining clear documentation and communication with customers and team members are key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in equipment
Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
Respond to service calls and provide professional, customer-focused support
Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding service status and recommendations
Qualifications
Experience in equipment maintenance and repair; appliance repair experience preferred
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer locations
Experience in recycling or waste management equipment is a plus
