Job Title: PVA / Copilot Studio Engineer Location:

Onsite in Sacramento, CA

Overview We are looking for an experienced PVA / Copilot Studio Engineer to design, build, and support intelligent conversational solutions using Microsoft Power Virtual Agents (PVA) and Copilot Studio. In this role, you will collaborate with business and technical teams to create AI‑driven chatbots, automate workflows, enhance user experiences, and integrate solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain conversational bots using Power Virtual Agents and Copilot Studio.

Build and refine conversational flows, triggers, topics, and generative AI capabilities.

Integrate bots with Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and third‑party APIs.

Create and maintain reusable components, connectors, and automation patterns.

Analyze user interactions and performance metrics to continuously improve bot accuracy and efficiency.

Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into conversational designs.

Ensure bot experiences follow best practices for security, governance, and responsible AI usage.

Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support production deployments.

Stay current with Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Microsoft AI ecosystem updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Hands‑on experience developing chatbots with Power Virtual Agents and/or Copilot Studio.

Strong understanding of conversational design principles and user experience best practices.

Experience with Power Automate, low‑code development, and workflow orchestration.

Knowledge of Dataverse, JSON, REST APIs, and data integration methodologies.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with clear logic and flows.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Excellent communication skills and comfort working with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Experience

Exposure to Microsoft Azure services (Bot Framework, Azure Functions, Cognitive Services).

Experience with AI prompt engineering or generative AI tooling.

Familiarity with authentication concepts (OAuth, Azure AD).

Power Platform certifications such as PL‑200 or AI‑102.

Education & Work Background

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.

2‑5 years of experience working with Power Platform, AI, or automation technologies.
