Job Description JOB OVERVIEW The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in supporting the night audit team and ensuring smooth and efficient front desk operations during late-night and early morning shifts. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform nightly financial reconciliations and audits of hotel transactions.

Process guest folios, ensuring accuracy of all charges, payments, and account balances.

Verify and balance daily cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.

Prepare daily revenue reports and financial summaries for management.

Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments during overnight hours.

Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.

Manage incoming phone calls and facilitate clear guest communication.

Monitor and maintain security of the front desk and lobby areas.

Post room charges and accurately process guest billing.

Update and maintain the guest reservation system as needed.

Assist in operating night audit software and hotel management systems (e.g., OnQ, Agilysys).

Respond promptly to guest emergencies, requests, and unusual situations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment.

Begin AM Checklist tasks prior to the arrival of the morning shift.

Print required reports to complete the daily flash using Agilysys and OnQ systems.

Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.

Prior experience in front desk operations, customer service, or night audit roles preferred.

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and hotel front office procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.

Comfortable working overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Capable of standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds

Schedule The work schedule is based on the demands of the business you must be available days, nights, weekends, and/or holiday availability are required.

Physical, Mental and Environmental & Technical Demands Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist in the work area. Must be able to maneuver around property. Must be able to sit, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and copier. Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment.

Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/ or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process.
