FPC of Hendersonville is seeking an experienced
Plant Manager
to lead a manufacturing site that specializes in high-performance surface overlays and bonding materials. This role is responsible for overall site leadership, including safety, production performance, quality, cost control, and workforce engagement. Reporting to senior manufacturing leadership, the Plant Manager ensures operational excellence while driving continuous improvement, team development, and reliable delivery to customers.
The ideal candidate brings leadership experience overseeing operations and managing managers.
Salary Range:
$160K – $185K Incentive / Bonus (EIP):
20% – 40%

Key Responsibilities
Lead all plant operations to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment
Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Oversee production planning and execution to deliver on-time, complete orders that meet customer and product specifications
Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements
Maintain high product quality standards while minimizing variability and rework
Proactively address operational risks and regulatory requirements
Drive lowest practical manufacturing cost through optimization of throughput, waste reduction, energy utilization, and labor efficiency
Establish annual operating plans, budgets, and performance goals for the facility
Monitor plant performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed
Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and operational effectiveness
Lead or support capital and operational improvement projects within defined scope, cost, and timeline
Build and sustain a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment
Set clear expectations, communicate business priorities, and align team objectives with site goals
Provide full-cycle performance management, including coaching, development planning, feedback, and recognition
Stay connected to the workforce and proactively address employee relations matters
Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, quality, and commercial teams
Address escalated customer concerns and proactively mitigate potential service or quality issues
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical or scientific discipline
8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
Proven experience managing a plant or operation with 40+ employees
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance improvements
Preferred
Experience in resin-based manufacturing, coatings, paper treating, or related process industries
Background in process improvement and project management methodologies
Professional Engineer (PE) designation a plus
