Head Equipment Manager

to join the Agronomy Department. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall performance of the club’s turf maintenance equipment fleet and plays an important role in supporting the consistent presentation of the golf course at the highest level. The Head Equipment Manager works closely with the Director of Agronomy and golf course maintenance leadership to ensure all equipment is properly maintained, safe to operate, and prepared to support daily operations. The successful candidate will take pride in organization, preventative maintenance, and equipment setup, and will understand the importance of precision and consistency in a championship golf environment. Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and specialty tools Develop and implement a detailed preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment reliability and longevity Maintain accurate records of equipment service, parts inventory, and operating costs Manage a team of technicians, providing training, guidance, and scheduling to ensure efficient workflow Collaborate with the Director of Agronomy and Superintendents to prioritize equipment needs for daily course setup and major projects Oversee equipment budgeting, purchasing, and vendor relationships Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance for all maintenance activities Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient equipment facility Qualifications

Technical training or certification in turf equipment management, diesel mechanics, or a related field preferred Strong working knowledge of gasoline, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems Proficiency in reel grinding and mower setup Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course equipment maintenance; management experience strongly preferred Technical degree or certification in small engine repair, diesel mechanics, or related field preferred Advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and equipment setup for fine turf maintenance Skilled in reel grinding and advanced mower setup Strong organizational and leadership abilities Commitment to excellence and pride in supporting one of the world’s premier golf courses Professional Expectations
