JOB SUMMARY: Performs routine inspection and testing of product in process and/or finished products using precision measuring tools and equipment. Organizes and prioritizes departmental workflow to ensure effective use of departmental resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned by Manager): Perform Receiving Inspections of product and tooling including plating thickness, dimensional inspection, visual inspection, and mechanical breakload/testing. Prepare jobs for Final Inspection (Blinds & Solids): generate final inspection report/worksheet and pull required samples per procedures/work instructions. Support Floor Inspection activities include First Article/Setup verification and in-process/SPC as assigned by management. Operate Keyence using pre-programmed inspection templates. Record the results of tests on inspection forms and test reports as required. Ensure that inspection equipment is calibrated and in good working condition. Understand the SPC data collection system along with measuring tools and gauges required to ensure that manufacturing processes are in control and produce high quality products. Meet productivity levels in support of departmental standards, goals and schedules. Perform good housekeeping and follow safety regulations. Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine inspection reports. Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understand basic shop math. Reasoning Abilities:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to perform complex duties where a high level of independent judgment and action is required. Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints, specifications, procedures and work instructions. Understand Basic GD&T (reference ASME Y14.5). Other Qualifications:

Skilled in the set up and use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, protrusion gauges, optical comparators, tri-roll gauges, etc. Proven ability to perform mechanical and physical testing on product such as conductivity testing, drivability testing, shear testing, tensile testing, etc. Ability to read and understand a manufacturing work order sequence of operations. Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), certificate related to inspection or mechanical testing from a technical school completed or in progress, 0-2 years experience in aerospace manufacturing/inspection. Aerospace fasteners preferred. Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear. Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to walk, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Equipment required to perform this job includes Tension Tester / Speedy Tester, Keyence, Optical Comparators, Macroscope, Microscope, and Inspection Hand Tools (micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, trulok head protrusion gauges, pin gauges), concentricity gauges, hardness tester (as needed). Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $19.00 - $29.86. Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives such as equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
