Supply Chain Analyst
Job Overview
A Supply Chain Analyst analyzes historical data, market trends, and other variables to predict future product demand and informed purchasing decisions. This role ensures a company has the correct supply of products at the right time, managing inventory to reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Key skills include strong analytical and data analysis abilities, as well as proficiency with forecast tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Analysis: Establishing proactive forecast/reorder criteria based on historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality. Inventory management: Working to optimize inventory levels to avoid both stockouts and excess stock. Cross-functional collaboration: Working with service, sales, and supply chain teams to align forecasts and strategies (quarterly) Data analysis: Analyzing purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement strategies (example would be initiating disciplines to reduce air freight costs). Logistics Performance Analysis: Review outbound shipments while evaluating carrier delivery performance and cost analysis. Education/Experience & Skills
High-school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required skills include: Experience with SAP. Profieciency in Microsoft Outlook, Office and Excel. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk; use hands and finger dexterity to handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment
