Job Description PURPOSE:

Berry Global is looking for a production associate. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for operating thermoplastic extruders and associated production equipment to convert plastic resins into blown film for flexible plastic sheeting, tubing or bags, and efficiently producing a finished product on a timely basis that meets all customer product specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Alert Setup Technician and Changeover Technician using the light system to keep them informed of production status

Keep the work area clean and clutter free: pick up scrap material around the production lines and cut scrap off cores

Perform quality control checks on product and ensure all are properly labeled before stacking finished product

Package bags/rolls and keep accurate counts in the computer system

Help the team give 10 and 20 minute breaks

Alert Setup Techs to questions or concerns by utilizing white stack light

Assemble boxes

Perform quality control checks on product and labels

Stack finished product

Help pick up scrap around lines, including change-over rolls

Throw away all labels from previous job

Weigh boxes and enter into the computer system

Pull resin as needed

Weigh, package and label finished product

May be used for training a new person

Work a 12‑hour day, 4 days a week; every other weekend is mandatory

May be required to lift up to 35 pounds

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent

Manufacturing experience preferred
