Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial data compilation, analysis, and reporting. Implements and maintains accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Provides management with financial and operational performance insights to support business decision‑making. Privately held, roughly $100M organization.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Oversee core accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and tax compliance.
Manage the preparation and review of financial statements and reports for various business units.
Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
Prepare and post journal entries, perform reconciliations, and manage commission calculations.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements.
Support financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
Participate in audits and respond to requests from external auditors and regulatory agencies.
Assist with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA Required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information and maintain accuracy in financial data.
Experience in mentoring and developing staff.
Base Pay Range $125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
