INTEGRIS Health , Oklahoma’s largest not‑for‑profit health system, is hiring an Access Coordinator in Woodward, OK. This Full‑time variable‑hour role is part of the Patient Registration team and focuses on providing exceptional care and accurate patient intake to those who trust our system.
Job Overview The Access Coordinator accurately registers all patients into the ADT system (or the facility’s current computer programs), verifies insurance benefits, and maintains confidentiality and dignity of each patient. The position requires excellent customer service skills, adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, and following established productivity and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities
Collect cash, checks, and credit card payments for deposits, co‑pays, and deductibles.
Obtain required signatures for admission and authorization; explain Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire.
Establish financial arrangements with guarantors when necessary.
Register patients into the ADT system and obtain benefit and pre‑certification information, entering it into the billing system.
Maintain pre‑collect in accordance with productivity requirement guidelines.
Explain the billing process to patients.
Balance cash drawer and all credit card batches daily; submit receipts and money to Accounting for daily deposits.
Order tests via Order Entry or paper requisitions.
Operate the switchboard as needed; report to the Access Supervisor and Access Manager.
Meet physical demands and respiratory fit test requirements; refer to the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site for details.
Work safely around hazardous chemicals, bio‑hazards, and electrical sources; universal safety precautions mitigate minimal hazards.
