Senior Full Stack Engineer – Pearson
We are building the next generation of assessment technology platforms. We are looking for outstanding candidates to bolster the staff of this critical work.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and implement high‑quality code for cutting‑edge assessment technology platforms.
Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews and maintain mission‑critical applications.
Work closely with QA, configuration management, and end users to release high quality software and write unit tests.
Take ownership of performance, security, and quality process improvement activities.
Required Experience
Full‑stack engineering experience with Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue.js, Python, Postgres, and MongoDB.
Experience developing and supporting cloud‑hosted applications on AWS.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technology discipline.
Experience building SaaS applications and maintaining highly available, highly concurrent web‑based solutions.
Proficiency with Git or similar version‑control systems and agile development practices.
Desirable Experience
Experience with AI tools and large language models.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and architecture‑design skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.
Strong time‑management and self‑starter attitude, detail‑oriented, and ability to thrive under pressure.
Technical Bonus Skills
IMS LTI, IMS QTI, IMS OneRoster, Ed‑FI, and Caliper reporting frameworks.
Compensation Base salary range: $110,000 – $150,000. Annual incentive program available. Detailed benefits information is available.
