Job Description Summary Under the supervision of the School Based Therapy Manager and clinical practice guidance of the psychiatrist, the school based therapist provides assessment, individual/group/family therapy, psychoeducation, and safety planning for all patients assigned to their caseload. The therapist works in collaboration with the clinical team and school team to meet the behavioral health needs of the patient. This position identifies treatment needs and risk factors that the patient may experience, and applies interventions and skill building techniques.
Qualifications
Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or related degree.
Licensed as Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Counselor – Independent (LPC).
Three years of post‑graduate professional social work experience.
MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners or LPC by the South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage Family Therapists.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Ability to collaborate positively and professionally with medical professionals.
Additional Job Description
Education: Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Credentials: MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Certification in case management preferred.
