Job Overview The

Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) / Phlebotomist II – Float

serves as the front-line representative for patients seeking diagnostic services. This role requires strong

phlebotomy expertise , exceptional

customer focus , and the flexibility to support

multiple locations

in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment. This position plays a critical role in patient satisfaction, specimen integrity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

venipuncture and capillary collections , including pediatric and geriatric patients

Prepare and process

clinical and forensic specimens

following established procedures

Verify patient demographics, specimen labeling, and obtain

patient signature post-collection

Maintain accurate records and required documentation

Provide

float coverage

across PSC and In-Office Phlebotomy locations

Ensure daily activities are completed

accurately and on time

Maintain a

safe, clean, and professional

patient environment

Exercise sound judgment when making decisions within established procedures

Communicate openly with patients, peers, and supervisors

Adapt quickly to schedule changes and evolving staffing needs

Required Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

Strong attention to detail and commitment to

error-free work

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (as applicable)

Preferred Skills & Certifications

Medical Assistant or Paramedic training

Phlebotomy certification

(required in CA, NV, and WA; preferred elsewhere)

Minimum

2 years of PSC experience

Retail or service-based customer service experience

Additional Requirements

Ability to manage

multiple priorities in a high-volume setting

Commitment to company

policies, safety standards, and professional conduct

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
