Duties and Responsibilities

Assists lead teacher(s) in three classrooms with all aspects of programming for children two to five years of age.

Responsible for the safety and well-being of children in the program.

Provides a safe, warm, nurturing and challenging environment where children are free to explore, learn and grow.

Establishes positive, supportive and respectful relationships with children and their parents as well as with colleagues.

Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of six credit hours of early childhood education and/or development as well as one year of experience working with young children.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree with a minimum of six credit hours of early childhood education.

Minimum of one year experience working in a group setting with young children.

Certificates, Credentials, and Licenses Must meet DCFS requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher.

Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet and email applications.

Physical Demands Open.

Salary

Maximum Salary or Hourly Rate:

$22.44hr

Minimum Salary or Hourly Rate:

$20.50/hr
