Compensation / Benefits
$13.21-$21.58/hr depending on previous work experience.
Evening differential $1.50/hr.
Night differential $1.75/hr.
Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

The ideal candidate for our Surgical Unit thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong willingness to learn, understands how to deliver safe and effective & compassionate clinical care along side a team. Our unit has thirty two beds. We take care of patients with both surgical and nonsurgical conditions, we care for patients through the nursing process of assessment planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Furthermore, our team nurses & patient care techs collaborate with other healthcare professionals for best possible treatment of our patients.
Job Summary
Provides basic patient care
Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures
Facilitates processing of patients
Provides clerical receptionist support
Provides Coordinating Support
Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
Qualifications Education
High School diploma or equivalent GED.
Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
Experience
Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
