The 32‑bed unit provides care for patients with both surgical and nonsurgical conditions. We implement the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—and collaborate with nursing staff and other health professionals for optimal patient outcomes. Job Summary
Provides basic patient care Assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment Takes and records vital signs and relays to the patient’s nurse Provides general nursing care and routine treatments/procedures Facilitates processing of patients Provides clerical/receptionist support Provides coordinating support Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent GED. Certification as a nursing assistant or at least 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Experience
Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant OR one semester of nursing school OR successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course, or six months of previous healthcare experience may substitute. Licensure / Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re‑training required during orientation. Maintain current BLS through re‑training for duration of employment. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. Schedule
