CNC Lathe Operator

Job Location: In-Person, $18–$28/Hour (Depending on Experience), 2nd Shift (Training on 1st Shift), Full-Time
Our client is a precision manufacturing company serving the aerospace industry, and they want you to join their team as a CNC Lathe Operator
Training on 1st Shift, Monday-Friday for 6-12 weeks. After this period, you will transition to 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday.
Your day-to-day as a CNC Lathe Operator:
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision aerospace parts per engineering drawings and specifications
Load programs, verify offsets, tooling, and machine parameters prior to production runs
Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.)
Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish
Identify and correct tooling issues, machine alarms, and part discrepancies
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100 or equivalent)
Accurately complete job travelers, inspection records, and production documentation
Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)
Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality, engineering, and team members regarding production status or issues
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
Your skills and experience:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
Experience working with tight tolerances (±.0005 or better preferred)
Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic computer skills for CNC controls and production documentation
