Description Provide mechanical engineering support for plant operations, focusing on design, system integration, and equipment improvement. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance manufacturing performance, reliability, and safety.
Requirements
Design tooling and mechanical assemblies using Inventor and AutoCAD
Revise and maintain mechanical drawings and documentation
Develop and execute experimental plans for design validation
Source components, manage procurement, and assemble or oversee mechanical systems
Troubleshoot mechanical systems during production integration
Collaborate with IT, process, and electrical engineering teams
Support documentation updates and training
Follow plant safety policies and procedures
Education
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills
3+ years in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Mechanical system design and integration experience
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Inventor or similar), Vault, AutoCAD
GD&T and drafting standards knowledge
Experience with machine shops, vendors, and part procurement
Hands‑on troubleshooting (pneumatics, flow control, water cooling)
Manufacturing equipment repair and maintenance
Experience leading mechanics/electricians for assembly and installation
Desired Skills
Plastic extrusion manufacturing familiarity
Electrical troubleshooting (low/medium voltage, motion control, PLCs, temperature systems)
Data analysis with Excel, PI, or Power BI
Soft Skills
Self‑starter, results‑oriented, strong team collaboration
Effective cross‑discipline communication
Manufacturing floor or construction site experience with proactive safety focus
