$103,353 – $110,497 p.a. (pro rata) + Superannuation + Leave Loading + Salary Sacrifice Benefits | RN/M2A

Temporary working 72 hours per fortnight over a 5‑day roster up to 14 December 2026

Associate Nurse Unit Manager in Theatre – Overview Take on a pivotal leadership role where your expertise in nursing and midwifery directly contributes to safe, high‑quality surgical care. As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager in Theatre you will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leading the theatre team, implementing practice improvements, and ensuring consistent, person‑centred care. This role provides the opportunity to develop your leadership capabilities, mentor staff, and contribute to the operational and clinical excellence of theatre services.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in leading nursing/midwifery staff and promoting high‑quality care.

Assist with implementation of practice changes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Contribute to performance management, recruitment, rostering, and staff development.

Help manage financial, supply, and resource planning within the ward/unit/service.

Promote consistency and continuity of care across the team and service.

What We Are Looking For

Registered Nurse or Midwife with relevant post‑registration experience.

Demonstrated competence in theatre nursing/midwifery practice in line with professional standards.

Confidence providing leadership, mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff and students.

Experience supporting operational management, including staffing, rostering and resource planning.

Salary packages including living expenses up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for meal entertainment expenses each FBT year.

Employment Details Part time (0.95 FTE), working 72 hours per fortnight. Salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. A satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements are necessary.
