is seeking an OR Team Lead. We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals. Oversees surgery and sterile processing services. Assists as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Monthly staffing schedules

Daily staff assignments

Overseeing the OR daily flow of cases

Troubleshooting/problem solving throughout the day as needed

Assisting the Clinical Director in the interviewing and hiring process

Assisting the Clinical Director with performance evaluations

Assisting in any performance improvement activities that are delegated

Working with materials management in making sure the department has all of the necessary supplies

Working with vendors/MM to assure appropriate equipment and supplies are available for every case

Required Skills

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing – BSN preferred

Licensure: Current license as a VA Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days; CNOR preferred

Clinical Experience: minimum 2 years’ OR experience preferred

Supervisory -prior leadership/management experience preferred

Good command of the English language, both verbal and written

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
