This position is responsible for processing all releases of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, in a timely and accurate manner to provide customers with high-quality service. Associates must safeguard patient privacy by ensuring access is limited to authorized individuals and that releases comply with request parameters, company policy, and HIPAA regulations. The role requires travel of 75% or more and is an intermediate level position with at least 1 year of related Health Information Management experience. Position Highlights

Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software Adhere to Code of Conduct and policies Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes Assist with additional duties as needed Apply medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure Manage patient health records and safeguard records per HIPAA Prepare new patient charts and gather documents from paper or electronic sources Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness Create digital images of paperwork for storage in the electronic medical record Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources Answer inbound/outbound calls; may assist with walk-ins Assist with administrative duties (faxes, mail, data entry) and scheduling Assist with HIS training and onboarding as needed Generate reports for management as directed Meet and exceed site productivity expectations Participate in project teams to advance operational strategies Mentor HIS staff for professional development Provide feedback to senior leadership on issues and opportunities Support region-wide training, mentoring, and coverage as needed Assist with onboarding activities for new employees Support Quality Assurance tasks as directed Lead and mentor staff on questions and training; conduct training sessions Other duties as assigned What you will bring to the table
High School Diploma or GED Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to travel locally/regionally 75% or more Ability to commute between locations as needed 1 year Health Information related experience Ability to work overtime during peak seasons Basic computer proficiency Experience with phones, fax, printers, and general office equipment Professional verbal and written communication in English Detail- and quality-oriented, accurate and compliant medical records Strong data entry skills Ability to work with minimal supervision in a changing environment Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks Ability to respond quickly to requests Presentation skills for small groups Forward thinking and problem-solving ability Bonus points if
2+ years Health Information related experience Meets/exceeds productivity standards Previous production/metric-based work experience In-person customer service experience Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers Ability to propose process improvements and provide constructive feedback Additional information
