Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize material acquisition.
Source, evaluate, and manage a diverse network of suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings, quality standards, and favorable delivery schedules.
Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid material shortages.
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material lead times to mitigate supply chain risks.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and supplier relationships.
Ensure all procured materials meet required quality specifications and regulatory compliance.
Recommended Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and quality control standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with international sourcing and global logistics
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking
Advanced experience with ERP/MRP system implementation or optimization
