New parents in Brooklyn Heights, New York, are seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support their first child, a 16-day-old baby boy.
The ideal start date is January 19, with a target end date of April 20th, 2026.
The schedule is overnight, 7:00pm–7:00am, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Ensure the child’s safety, care, and overall well‑being overnight
Provide guidance to parents on best newborn care practices while supporting their preferences
Support the development of healthy sleep habits and help establish a sleep schedule
Diaper changes
Maintain the baby’s hygiene and overall cleanliness
Baby‑related laundry
Sterilize bottles and baby equipment
Keep the baby’s room and bathroom clean, organized, and hygienic
Maintain a calm, clean, and sanitary environment appropriate for a newborn
Use gentle soothing techniques to help calm the baby and create a peaceful overnight environment
Track and communicate overnight routines, including feeding, sleeping, and behavioral patterns
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Newborn Care Specialist and bring a warm, kind, and professional presence. Strong knowledge of infant care, reliability, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant NCS experience.
Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent references.
Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid
Fully vaccinated (COVID, Tdap, Flu, MMR)
Live within a reasonable distance to Brooklyn Heights
Compensation $40 + an hour, depending on experience.
