Registered Nurse (RN) Full-Time Days - NICU for Texas Health Alliance

Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76244

Work hours: Full-time days, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

NICU Unit Department highlights

8-bed Neonatal ICU unit - Level III

25-weeks' gestation on up - utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, Vents, and Jets

May Float to assist with Mother/baby Unit; work with feeders & growers

Part of the Texas 10-Step Program

Here’s What You Need

Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire

NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days of hire

1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req

3 years of NICU level III experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient

Plans the care of the patient

Intervenes as appropriate

Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
