Torque by Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent full-time Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet in Charlotte, NC. Interact with non-contractual Ryder customers, demonstrate account management skills to independently facilitate preventive maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss repair estimates with customers. Coordinate work schedules as required by customers. Road test vehicles to identify causes of complaints, ensure quality repairs, and deliver customer satisfaction. Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle repairs including but not limited to: A/C & heater, brakes (air and hydraulic), cargo handling/transfer and liftgates, charging systems, clutch, cooling systems, electrical systems, drive axles, driveline, gas engines, fuel systems, PMs and related maintenance tasks. Identify leaks, inspect components, test systems, and perform necessary repairs within approved training and qualifications (e.g., BA298, BH298, AC220/AC298, TW298, PM298, FMCS 396.25). Operate and inspect systems with adherence to safety, DOT, and company guidelines; maintain documentation and records for maintenance and compliance purposes. Work independently and as part of a team; prioritize workload and manage time effectively; demonstrate strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Drive Ryder vehicles as required and comply with driving and background checks including drug testing and motor vehicle records checks as applicable. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Vocational/technical certification, post-secondary degree, or relevant technical certifications preferred. Basic tools required. Demonstrated mechanical repair experience on automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires). Two+ years of combined classroom training and work experience in the field preferred. Licenses: Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E preferred; Commercial Driver License CLASS A preferred; other state licenses as required. One+ year of federal PM certification requirements through training or work experience; one+ year of mechanical experience working offsite at customer locations preferred. Able to take home and secure a mobile service truck where applicable; able to drive Ryder vehicles. Strong customer service, relationship management, and communication skills; self-starter and organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Understand and adhere to company policies; complete repair orders using company systems; create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization. PM, brakes, tires, wheel maintenance and related PMs with specified timeframes (e.g., within 90 days for PMs, brakes, and tires where applicable; 180 days for A/C and related systems). Safety, compliance, and equipment-specific training requirements as listed (e.g., SBTIII, SBT Phase 2, OEM online engine courses, etc.). Benefits
