Direct Support Professional (FT/1st/2nd) Location: Swissville, PA 15218 — Job Type: Full-time (32 hours). Shift: 8am-12am, Sunday and Saturday.

Pay: $19.25/hr plus $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Verland is looking for Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care to residents. The role is hourly, non-exempt, with a minimum of 30 hours for benefits.

Responsibilities

Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe environment.

Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.

Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.

Participate in planning social, home and recreational activities.

Assist with meals, cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping duties.

Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.

Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.

Administer medication.

Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver's license.

Reliable transportation.

Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.

Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Prior experience is not required.

2 weeks paid training will be provided to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, and support plans. Training must be completed before employment starts.
