Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Technician for cable and harness assembly. The selected candidate will communicate and provide feedback to Engineers, interface with stockroom and manufacturing specialists, and complete necessary workmanship training in crimp cable harnesses, hand soldering, visual inspection of assemblies, potting of connectors, and cable specific testing and labeling. Occasional overtime conditions may be required for this position.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Communicate and provide feedback to Engineers.

Interface with stockroom and manufacturing specialists.

Complete workmanship training in crimp cable harnesses, hand soldering, visual inspection of assemblies, potting of connectors, and cable specific testing and labeling.

Perform occasional overtime as required.

Required Qualifications

High school graduate, GED, or some higher education

Must have electronics assembly experience

Ability to see project through from start to finish

Self‑motivated, dependable, and detail oriented

Ability to learn automated machine operation

Ability to identify and work through problems that may arise

Skilled at hand soldering and reworking cable assemblies

Ability to pass IPC and NASA training to space level quality

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel)

Ability to work and communicate within a team

Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance

Salary Range

$38,500 - $76,500

Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience
