D2 Government Solutions is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic III to wash and lubricate aircraft at MacDill AFB, FL.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all KC‑135 wash and lubrication operations at MacDill AFB Perform quality assurance inspections and sign‑offs, verifying cleanliness standards, lubrication completion within required timeframes, and proper aircraft configuration post‑wash Exercise Red‑X authority to clear critical discrepancies; ensure all wash package discrepancies are resolved and signed off before aircraft release. Serve as certified Tow Supervisor, directing and supervising aircraft towing operations Provide technical guidance and working‑lead support to Aircraft Mechanics II and Aircraft Workers during complex wash/lube tasks; prioritize workload to meet nine‑hour completion thresholds and mission schedules. Maintain tool/FOD control and safety compliance; conduct inspections of wash areas and equipment to prevent hazards and foreign object damage. Qualifications:
Comprehensive aircraft maintenance expertise, including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical components, structural modification, and interpretation of technical data (blueprints, T.O.s, manufacturer manuals). Formal aircraft maintenance training or FAA Airframe/Powerplant certification Documented certification as Tow Supervisor and Red‑X authority, with ability to safely direct towing operations and clear critical discrepancies Proficiency in USAF maintenance documentation systems Excellent leadership and organizational skills, capable of guiding mechanics and workers through complex wash/lube tasks and prioritizing workload to meet nine‑hour completion thresholds. Secret Clearance (Tier 3) 4 plus years experience in maintenance and inspection 1-2 years supervisory/lead experience for QA and team coordination About D2 Government Solutions (D2GS)
