About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled
Infrastructure Engineer II
to join our IT team on a contract basis. In this role, you will support and enhance the core infrastructure that powers Essential’s enterprise environment. You will play a key part in planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting a broad range of technologies, ensuring stability, security, and scalability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of
Essential’s M365 tenant , including security, compliance, and productivity components.
Administer and maintain
Windows Server Operating Systems , ensuring optimal performance, availability, and patching compliance.
Support and manage
VMware ,
Citrix , and enterprise
storage technologies , including troubleshooting, optimization, and capacity planning.
Provide architectural guidance and hands‑on support for
Active Directory ,
Group Policy Management ,
DNS ,
DHCP , and
identity management platforms
(ADFS, Azure AD).
Maintain and support the organization’s
PKI infrastructure , ensuring proper certificate lifecycle management and security practices.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
Contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures, and the continuous improvement of IT infrastructure processes.
Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration roles.
Strong expertise in
Microsoft 365 ,
Windows Server ,
Active Directory , and related identity technologies.
Must have experience with Azure Managed Services
Hands‑on experience with
VMware ,
Citrix , and enterprise
storage
platforms.
Solid understanding of
network fundamentals , authentication, and security best practices.
Experience with
PKI , certificate management, and identity federation technologies.
Ability to lead and execute complex technical projects independently.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
This is a straight contract role.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
