Job Summary The College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking to hire a Laboratory Technician.
The Technician will be responsible for small animal handling, care, and behavioral assays, perform experimental injury procedures in animal models, and handle lab management duties including project management and lab organization.
The Laboratory Technician will also perform basic lab protocols, including brain processing and immunostaining techniques, maintain supply and sample inventory, organize lab space, maintain safety documentation, and manage chemical and biohazards.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No.
Preferred Education/Experience None.
Shift Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40hr/week)
Physical Requirements Sitting for periods of time.
