will administer Prevailing Wage from start to finish. Duties include calculating manual counters, performing weekly prevailing wage audits, timecard corrections, administering certified payrolls, managing the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) process, and handling active contracts. The role also records and processes the company’s time and attendance through the payroll systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, verifies compliance with company policy, procedure, and state and government regulations, maintains employee data, handles vacation/sick leave reports, submits payroll taxes, benefits, 401(k) reports, and performs payroll general ledger account reconciliation and analysis to ensure effective, efficient, timely, and accurate payments to employees and government agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administers Prevailing Wage from start to finish: calculating manual counters, performing weekly prevailing wage audits, timecard corrections, administering certified payrolls, managing the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) process, and administering active contracts.

Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to manage the prevailing wage process.

Process weekly, bi‑weekly, and off‑cycle payrolls from start to finish.

Collect and input payroll data such as hours worked and sales from timesheets and other records.

Administer internal ticketing system to ensure accurate payroll inquiries are reviewed.

Prepare computer input, enter data into computer files, or compute wages and deductions and post to payroll records.

Answer employer, manager, and employee payroll‑related inquiries; provide information while maintaining a high level of customer service and confidentiality.

Respond to all Federal, State, and other agency requests for compliance documentation (wage orders, garnishments, tax levies, etc.).

Prepare and issue paychecks or manual checks as requested.

Process employee per diems.

Ensure payroll files are in order and meet labor law regulations.

Work Environment The work environment requires onsite presence at a Rain for Rent office or branch location. Remote and hybrid options are not offered at this time.

Estimate Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour DOE
