This position reports to the Senior Business Controller. As a Senior Business Financial Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Electrification Installation Products “ELIP” in Hickory, NC, benchmarking KPIs while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. Reporting to the Business Controller, you will study business performance, including financial modelling, to forecast the impacts and risks, and recommend areas for continuous improvement. This role will need to be able to work an onsite work schedule out of the Hickory, NC Manufacturing facility. Your responsibilities
Communicating information to relevant stakeholder groups to support corrective action plans Helping to prepare financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting documents and presentations Month‑end activities: account analysis, account reconciliation, journal entry creation, posting and review, inventory analysis, balance reconciliations, fixed asset monitoring, analysis, review, and reporting Optimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication and coordinating information requirements Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field 5+ years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP, Oracle, KBM, ERP/LX or related financial systems. Knowledge of Power BI, Power queries would be beneficial. Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask Strong written and verbal communication skills English language skill(s) and proficiency Strong Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrate proficiency with other Microsoft Office products Must possess authorization to work for ABB in the US What's In It For You
