What You’ll Do Eaton is seeking a Production Technician for its Panelboard / Switchboard Satellite Operation. The Production Technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including wire, assemble, fit and mount sub‑assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment.
Position Overview
Assemble panelboards and switchboards to customer specification based on electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions with hand and power tools.
Inspect and test finished products to maintain quality standards.
Use wire strippers and pliers to perform electrical wiring assembly.
Maintain expected progress of jobs and communicate problem areas or part shortages.
Receive and put away material; prepare finished products for shipment.
Perform Lean initiatives and maintain equipment, tools, and work area per 5S guidelines.
Cross‑train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.
Minimum Education High School/GED
Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience in an assembly related role with hand and/or power tools (automotive repairs, construction, carpentry, or other assembly type environments considered).
Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the work location will be considered (active‑Duty Military Service members exempt).
No relocation benefit.
Does not support immigration sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related experience.
Experience with wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow.
Experience with measuring tools, torque tolerance, and hardware assembly.
Experience using various tools: drill press, press brake, forklift, tray crane, templates, hand carts, tape measure, storage/packaging materials, prescribed safety equipment.
Skills
Ability to work in small team environment and flex according to production demands.
Lift 35 lbs on regular basis.
Work overtime as required.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.
Observe health and safety practices.
Participate in safety training and site meetings.
