Description To manage the sites preventative and planned maintenance in collaboration with manufacturing to ensure an efficient and effective maintenance service to meet regulatory and production plans
Role Specific Responsibilities
Supervise the maintenance activities of plant and utilities to ensure an effective and high standard of service is provided to the site.
Ensure equipment is functionally maintained to deliver safe operation.
Demonstrate safety leadership through enforcement and continual improvement of safety regulations and practices.
Manage the rotating equipment reliability program with specific focus on centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, compressors, vacuum pumps and lubrication.
Manage equipment inspection and overall spares program.
Routinely monitor overall standards of performance to identify and then implement areas for improvement.
Ensure the most efficient use of personnel in accordance with production requirements and in line with the planned maintenance system.
Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) reimplementation and keep it up to date.
Manage on-site contractors to ensure the efficient use of labor resource to assist in the reduction of overall contractors’ costs.
Manage MOC (Management of Change) process for site.
Undertake other duties as may be required.
Business Improvement
Active participation in continuous improvement and other lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assist in the training, mentoring and assessment of other team members.
