We are seeking an experienced
Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
for a
13-week contract
in
Kennett Square, Pennsylvania
at a
503A compounding pharmacy . This leadership role is ideal for a pharmacist with
strong regulatory knowledge, PIC experience, and hands-on compounding oversight
who can ensure compliant, efficient, and safe pharmacy operations. Position Overview As the PIC / Pharmacy Director, you will serve as the top-level pharmacy leader, carrying
full regulatory accountability
for sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. You will oversee daily pharmacy operations, quality systems, environmental monitoring, personnel management, and ensure compliance with state, federal, USP, and FDA 503A standards. Schedule Monday Friday: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
Flexible Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities Serve as legally designated PIC for all relevant state pharmacy licenses
Maintain compliance with:
State pharmacy laws and regulations
USP

NABP VPP standards and inspection protocols
DEA regulations (as applicable)
Act as primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, including equipment calibration, maintenance, and certification
Lead inventory management for bulk APIs, sterile components, and supplies
Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
Oversee batch record creation, execution, review, and approval
Support production scheduling to ensure on-time delivery and accurate inventory
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
Achieve company KPIs for production, efficiency, training, and compliance Required Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
Minimum
5 years of experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager
Deep understanding of USP

, FDA 503A regulations, and state/federal compliance requirements
Experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections
Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills Practice Setting
