Overview
Park Cities Surgery Center is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist. The role scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Responsibilities
The Surgical Technologist provides pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative support during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, passing instruments, assisting the surgical team, and managing surgical supplies and equipment. Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Plastic and orthopedics experience required Certification as required by state and/or center Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians Benefits
