Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures, maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment, and supports quality improvement activities.
Responsibilities
Prepare surgical supplies, instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques.
Assist the surgical team during all stages of surgery.
Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to center policies.
Collaborate effectively with staff, engage patients, and coordinate with physicians.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification required by state and/or center.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and surgical patient management.
Understanding of aseptic techniques and implementation.
Adaptability to changing patient conditions.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
