Responsibilities
Ensure that an appropriate number of cars stays on location during each shift, cars are parked in an appropriate fashion, and the lot is kept clean and presentable.
Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable.
Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have and—if necessary—direct them to the Facility Manager.
Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
Report any known accidents or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, oil spills, or other incidents to the garage office.
Substitute for Valets when authorized.
Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications Education/Experience Required : Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training or an equivalent combination.
License Requirement : A valid state‑issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record if required to drive a company vehicle.
Availability to Work : Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends as required.
Language Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one‑on‑one situations.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with typical numbers and monetary amounts.
Appearance : Employees must maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear uniform at all times.
Physical Demands : Regular standing, walking, handling cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Salary Range $17.10 – $19.10 per hour
