Overview Schedule: 3x12+ Days (7p-7a) rotating weekends and rotating holidays

Unit Description Our 22-bed Med Surge unit is split onto two floors with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6 and is staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Patient Sitters providing care for a variety of patients including those on dialysis, diabetes, heart disease, geriatric patients, and recovering surgical patients.

Responsibilities

Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions

Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient

Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Qualifications Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:

BLS and ACLS required

New grad RNs welcomed, 1 year RN experience preferred
