This client development role is centered on driving lead generation and supporting the sales process in partnership with a Senior Benefit Consultant. The primary focus is on cultivating and managing a sustainable pipeline of prospects through proactive outreach, including phone calls, emails, networking, and leveraging tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn. Key responsibilities include maintaining organized prospect lists, identifying and qualifying leads, and scheduling and confirming initial and follow-up appointments. Additionally, the role involves preparing for sales meetings, contributing to strategy and presentation development, and participating in trade shows and virtual events. This position is vital to generating new business opportunities and building a foundation for long‑term client relationships. Prospect Development:
Research, build, and manage prospect lists using Salesforce, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and other tools to identify and qualify new business opportunities Sales Support:
Schedule and confirm prospect meetings, assist with proposals and presentations, and provide insights and research to support Senior Benefit Consultants Outreach & Engagement:
Execute multi‑channel communication strategies via email, phone, and social media; represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and networking events CRM & Process Excellence:
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, apply best practices from ongoing training, and contribute to continuous improvement of sales operations QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years in B2B Business to Business Sales and lead generation experience High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred Health/Life insurance license preferred ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager. Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits to our colleagues, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, generous paid time off and much more.
