Position Overview:
The IT Procurement Specialist manages the full procurement lifecycle for IT goods and services, including sourcing, renewals, and approvals. This role is responsible for evaluating vendor proposals, pricing, service levels, and contract terms to ensure optimal value and risk mitigation. The IT Procurement Specialist reviews existing tools and vendor offerings to identify opportunities for consolidation, cost savings, and operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities:
Manage the full procurement lifecycle for IT goods and services including sourcing, renewals, and approvals. Evaluate vendor proposals, pricing, service levels, and terms to ensure maximum value and risk mitigation. Track and manage IT asset lifecycle (hardware, software licenses, SaaS renewals). Monitor technology spend against budget and provide forecasting and reporting on upcoming renewals or cost changes. Ensure procurement policies are followed and help improve processes and workflow. Evaluate current tools, subscriptions, and vendor offerings to determine whether services already exist within the organization. Conduct spend and usage analysis to identify redundant software of overlapping functionality across vendors or departments. Rationalize and consolidate vendors when feasible to reduce spend, complexity, and operational risk. Qualifications and Skills:
2+ years of experience in IT procurement or vendor management. Experience in the mortgage industry, preferred. Experience in technology purchasing, preferred. Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented. Skilled in interpreting contract language, including termination clauses, licensing terms, and renewal structures. Excellent analytical skills to compare vendor offerings and evaluate redundancy. Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal teams and external customers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
