Description:
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world‑class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, seeks an experienced Operational Leader to serve as a front‑line product leader for its Parts Division Euclid Valve Shop. The role will impact shop‑floor operations, influence process and planning decisions, and manage all aspects of the shop floor.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coach machinists and programmers.
Promote and reinforce daily safety and quality.
Teach, coach, and train machinists and programmers.
Manage daily workflow.
Support and assess needs for job preparation.
Coordinate machine maintenance and equipment.
Schedule primary team schedules, including time off and overtime.
Maintain interface with outsource shop support (Nitride, EDM, grind, other).
Coordinate and support shipping schedules based on monthly production schedule.
Assist and provide feedback on development of shop schedule and quoting to the Manufacturing Manager.
Requirements
5+ years of related experience in machining or manufacturing, or a combination of education and experience.
Experience with machining, programming (M&G code), and CAM software (Gibbs); high‑temperature alloy experience a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data.
Ability to respond to customer and business inquiries and communicate professionally (verbal & written).
Ability to apply mathematical concepts for supervisory oversight and planning/tracking of core goals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Time‑ and project‑management skills related to workflow and scheduling through business objectives.
Knowledge of MS Office, e‑mail, presentations, flow charts; ERP system (EPICOR) and project‑management skills desired.
Prioritizes safety and ensures all EHS procedures align with company values.
Promotes and fosters a team environment.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Standing for extended periods.
Frequent mobility and flexibility.
Effective communication in an industrial setting.
Work extended hours as needed.
Lift 25–50 lbs.
Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and a loud industrial environment; adherence to MD&A Safety Program and use of personal protective equipment required.
