February 13th and 14th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM , held under the tent at the main Flora-Bama location. Our team will be onsite to discuss opportunities across our businesses and answer any questions you may have.
Job Summary Flora-Bama has a well-known commitment to providing each guest with an exceptional time. The ability of our bartenders to quickly build a relationship with each customer is a must. The bartender has the capability to provide that extra touch of customer service that will make each guest feel welcome.
Responsibilities
Mix traditional and creative cocktails that are consistent with the drink recipes provided to all bartenders. Accurately process cash and credit card payments from customers.
Ensure the bar and all related elements are thoroughly cleaned before and after the shift, including glasses, bottles, and bar tools. Remain fully aware of all food safety regulations and maintain a clean working space.
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences and pursue potential upselling on beverages.
Build a genuine rapport with customers to gain their trust and convert them into loyal guests.
Maintain open communication with the barback/commissary to ensure the bar is stocked before the shift and remains stocked throughout the shift.
Support and communicate with the management team and other departments; comply with all local, state, and federal liquor laws.
Qualifications
A strong understanding of drink mixing, drink recipes, proper use of bar tools, and up-to-date bar techniques; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and engaging personality.
Basic math and computer skills.
Time management abilities and the skill set to efficiently multi-task in a busy environment.
Detail-oriented and observant of all elements related to the bar, including drinks, guests’ behavior, and cleanliness.
Physically able to move, talk, hear, reach, grab, and stand for up to 8 consecutive hours; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
High School Diploma.
Must meet the minimum age to serve alcohol.
