Your Job Summary:

Responsible for interpreting company policies, and employment law. Responsible recruiting, supporting, and developing talent. The ideal receptionist will have skills in auditing, compliance, and excellent coordination between all departments.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, and the community.

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet new residents to the facility; explain and orient them to services such as telephone, cable, dietary preferences, laundry, and activities.

Resolve customer requests, questions, and complaints; provide information to improve customer service.

Serve as liaison between residents and other departments.

Conduct inquiries on customer satisfaction; report findings using recommended tools and forms.

Identify, research, and resolve customer concerns; report trends to the Quality Assurance Committee and follow up on inquiries not immediately resolved.

Coordinate discharge planning with resident, family, rehab, nursing, and referrals to agencies.

Arrange annual or needed consults for residents.

Serve as a role model to foster superb customer service.

Assist the center in ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, including participation in survey processes and correction of deficiencies.

Complete clerical work for administrative and facility personnel: open, deliver, and forward mail; transcribe materials; record appointments and meetings; file necessary documents.

Answer telephone calls and direct callers to the correct station; refer to the nursing home directory; take messages; answer questions according to policy; handle routine correspondence.

Alert specified individuals and agencies in case of emergencies; assemble material for reports and questionnaires.

Announce notifications over the public address system.

Update resident directory (names, room locations, telephone extensions).

Arrange for service of office equipment.

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned by the supervisor—petty cash, accounts receivable/collections, resident trust fund, renewals, and other business office functions.

Receive payments for services rendered and record amounts received; distribute petty cash and make change; prepare and distribute receipts.

Pass out and collect employment applications.

Other duties may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
