We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Des Moines, IA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Completing repair activities on generators or components.
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
Maintaining detailed records of service.
Adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
Maintaining own tools.
Qualifications
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands‑on exposure to working on power generation products.
Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators.
Basic Diesel Engine experience.
Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
Additional Requirements
A current valid license is required for this role.
This role requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
3 years driving experience.
This role is subject to DOT driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older; applicant must be 21 years of age.
A CDL may be required upon hire.
Must provide own basic hand tools.
