We’re partnering with a district in Cook County, IL, to hire an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join a supportive, student-focused team.

In this role, you’ll work with young learners with diverse needs, providing individualized and small-group instruction. You’ll collaborate with colleagues to promote engagement, skill development, and inclusion, helping students access the curriculum and make progress.

Weekly Guaranteed Hours:

32+ hours per week

Pay Base pay range: $45.00/hr – $55.00/hr (Pay range provided by Onward Search Education. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.)

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans, modify curriculum, and track student progress for learners with diverse needs.

Support students in accessing core academic content by collaborating with classroom teachers and differentiating instruction to meet individual goals.

Utilize data-driven interventions and evidence-based instructional strategies to promote academic growth, skill acquisition, and increased engagement.

Provide targeted small-group and individualized instruction to strengthen academic, social, and emotional development while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.

Create a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and positive peer interactions.

Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and families to ensure a cohesive and aligned approach to student learning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.

Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Endorsement in the state of Illinois.

Prior experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in special education or inclusive classroom settings; experience working with middle school students preferred.
