This role is responsible for gathering job specifications, evaluating customer requests, preparing digital files for production, and ensuring all artwork meets quality, color, format, and functional standards prior to printing. The Prepress Operator plays a critical role in preserving the integrity of each project throughout production by delivering accurate, production-ready files efficiently and consistently. This position works closely with customers, project managers, designers, installers, and production personnel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship, solutions-focused thinking, and relational service.
Key Responsibilities
The Large Format Digital Prepress Operator is responsible for developing a complete understanding of each order’s requirements in order to verify production processes and expected outcomes. This includes collecting, organizing, and preflighting digital files to ensure all elements necessary for optimal output are present and accurate. The role requires verifying that provided artwork will reproduce as intended by collaborating with customers to provide proofs, samples, or prototypes as needed. The Prepress Operator processes and optimizes files for production, collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time, and supports customer service by assisting with problem-solving and production planning. Additional responsibilities include providing consultation to project managers, designers, and production staff, reviewing and correcting work orders prior to invoicing, and managing focused project coordination related to long‑term projects and customer relationships.
