Summary This role is responsible for gathering job specifications, evaluating customer requests, preparing digital files for production, and ensuring all artwork meets quality, color, format, and functional standards prior to printing. The Prepress Operator plays a critical role in preserving the integrity of each project throughout production by delivering accurate, production-ready files efficiently and consistently. This position works closely with customers, project managers, designers, installers, and production personnel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship, solutions-focused thinking, and relational service.

Key Responsibilities

Develop a complete understanding of each order’s requirements to verify production processes and expected outcomes.

Collect, organize, and preflight digital files to ensure all elements necessary for optimal output are present and accurate.

Verify that provided artwork will reproduce as intended by collaborating with customers to provide proofs, samples, or prototypes as needed.

Process and optimize files for production, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.

Support customer service by assisting with problem-solving and production planning.

Provide consultation to project managers, designers, and production staff.

Review and correct work orders prior to invoicing.

Manage focused project coordination related to long-term projects and customer relationships.

Education / Qualifications / Skills

Advanced computer systems knowledge across both PC/Microsoft and MacOS platforms.

Advanced or expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.

Strong attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities—particularly in customer-focused email correspondence.

Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced production environment.

Demonstrated high ethical standards, diligence, organization, innovation, and a quality-driven mindset to ensure all work meets customer specifications and High Resolutions’ standards of excellent craftsmanship.

Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
