Facilities Assistant (Part‑time)

Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a Part‑time Facility Assistant for its Lakewood, Colorado office. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the company headquarters building and grounds.
Responsibilities
Respond to work requests submitted by employees.
Utilize a CMMS program to schedule, dispatch, track, and report repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
Assist with routine maintenance tasks—light repairs, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC filter replacement, wall patching, painting, and general upkeep.
Help set up and break down events or meetings within the facility (chairs, tables, audiovisual equipment).
Provide excellent service to employees and visitors by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and directing them to appropriate resources.
Support facility‑related projects such as renovations, office relocations, or equipment installations.
Maintain the outside grounds, including mowing, trimming, sprinkler system maintenance, and mulching.
Scheduling activities to avoid disruption of services to internal and external customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and 1‑2 years of related work experience.
Knowledge of safe work practices around office building mechanical systems.
Experience with facilities maintenance, plumbing and HVAC.
Previous work experience as a handyman or skilled trade.
Proactive, organized, reliable, self‑motivated, and a team player.
Ability to work independently.
Desired Qualifications
Strong computer skills; knowledge of key card and EMS system software.
Understanding of plumbing, hot water, HVAC/boiler/chiller, lighting, and electrical systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
